Dental Emergency Life Support
Dental Emergency Life Support
Dental Emergency Life Support brings together essential airway management, adult and paediatric life support, AED use and medical emergency training into one comprehensive programme designed specifically for dental teams.
The course provides delegates with the practical skills required to respond to a range of life-threatening emergencies that may occur within the dental setting, from cardiac arrest and airway obstruction to anaphylaxis and other acute medical emergencies.
Particular emphasis is placed on the equipment available within dental practices. Dental practices are required to have appropriate airway equipment, including oropharyngeal airways and self-inflating bag-valve-mask devices, and staff should be confident in their safe and effective use.
Through a combination of focused teaching, practical skills stations and realistic scenarios, delegates will have the opportunity to practise responding as individuals and as part of a dental emergency team.
This comprehensive course is designed to bring the key elements of dental emergency preparedness together in one practical and engaging training session.
