About Us

Delivering clinically relevant, evidence-based resuscitation education

BML Clinical Resuscitation is a specialist healthcare training provider delivering high-quality resuscitation and medical emergency education for healthcare professionals.

We believe that effective emergency training should do more than meet mandatory requirements. It should develop the knowledge, practical skills, confidence and teamwork required to respond effectively when patients become critically unwell.

Our courses are designed around real clinical practice, combining evidence-based teaching, practical skills training and realistic scenarios to prepare healthcare teams for the challenges they may face in their own working environments.

From Basic Life Support and Immediate Life Support to dental and primary care medical emergency training, our aim is to provide engaging, clinically relevant education that supports safer teams and better patient care.

Evidence-based education aligned with current guidance

All BML Clinical Resuscitation courses are developed using current evidence and recognised national guidance, including recommendations from the Resuscitation Council UK.

We regularly review our educational content to ensure that our courses remain accurate, up to date and reflective of best practice.

Our commitment is to provide education that is:

  • Evidence-based
  • Clinically accurate
  • Professionally delivered
  • Regularly reviewed and improved

Practical training that builds confidence

Medical emergencies require more than knowledge alone. Healthcare professionals need the confidence to recognise deterioration, make decisions under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.

Our courses focus on active participation through:

  • Hands-on practical skills training
  • Simulation-based scenarios
  • Team communication exercises
  • Structured feedback and reflection

We aim to create supportive learning environments where participants can develop their skills and confidence without fear of judgement.

Training designed around your clinical environment

We understand that different healthcare settings face different challenges.

A dental practice, GP surgery, community healthcare team and hospital department will encounter different types of emergencies and require different approaches to training.

BML Clinical Resuscitation works with organisations to provide tailored education that reflects their environment, patient population and training needs

Meet the Founder and Lead Instructor

Anaesthesia Associate | Healthcare Educator | RCUK Instructor

BML Clinical Resuscitation was founded by Rhys Williams, a clinically active healthcare professional with extensive experience across operating theatres, resuscitation education and acute patient care.

Rhys began his healthcare career as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), after qualifying through Cardiff University. Over a 14-year career within perioperative practice, he developed extensive experience supporting patients throughout the perioperative journey, including the management of complex clinical situations requiring effective communication, teamwork and rapid decision-making.

Alongside his clinical career, Rhys completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiac Care at Birmingham City University, developing a specialist interest in cardiovascular physiology, cardiac disease and emergency management.

He is a Resuscitation Council UK-certified Advanced Life Support (ALS) and European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) instructor, with experience delivering resuscitation education using evidence-based teaching methods and simulation-based learning.

Building on his clinical experience and passion for education, Rhys went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Sciences at University College London. He currently works as an Anaesthesia Associate, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), providing advanced clinical care within anaesthesia and perioperative medicine.

A passion for improving emergency care

Through BML Clinical Resuscitation, Rhys aims to share his clinical experience and educational expertise to help healthcare professionals feel prepared and confident when responding to medical emergencies.

His approach is centred on a simple principle:

High-quality training creates confident clinicians, and confident clinicians help improve patient outcomes.

BML Clinical Resuscitation is committed to delivering education that is practical, evidence-based and focused on improving the quality and safety of emergency care.
