Immediate Life Support (ILS)
Immediate Life Support (ILS)
Immediate Life Support (ILS) training provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to recognise and respond to a deteriorating patient and manage cardiac arrest effectively.
The course covers the recognition of the deteriorating patient, basic life support, high-quality CPR, defibrillation, airway management and the principles of managing cardiac arrest as part of a clinical team. Delegates will have the opportunity to practise essential practical skills and apply their knowledge through realistic, scenario-based training.
Particular emphasis is placed on effective teamwork, communication and the early recognition and management of clinical deterioration. The course can be adapted to reflect the clinical environment, patient population and experience of the delegates, making the training relevant to a wide range of healthcare settings.
BML Clinical Resuscitation can also tailor ILS training to the specific requirements of your organisation, incorporating additional clinical scenarios, equipment or skills where required.
